I have counseled clients and have afforded advice to financial institutions on numerous facets of residential and commercial lending, including secured lending transactions processed under the Personal Property Security Act; mortgage lending and enforcement as prescribed by the Mortgages Act; Schedule A bank security pursuant to the Bank Act; and knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code, the statute that governs commercial transactions in the United States of America.
I have graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University. I have graduated with a Master of Laws degree in Banking and Financial Services Law from York University.
I have also participated in and spoken at seminars on credit and the dynamics of loan facilities sponsored by respective financial institutions.
Most recently, I have obtained a Certificate of Completion of the REMIC Mortgage Agent Course (RMAC) offered by the Real Estate and Mortgage Institute of Canada Inc.
